I’ve been drinking yerba mate for over 3 years now and from my experience, there are only a handful of stores worth buying from (and only 1 store I really shop at).
Unfortunately, unless you live in South America, your only option is to buy online. You can try visiting your local stores like Walmart, Wholefoods, and Trader Joe’s but don’t be surprised if you can’t find anything.
But don’t worry…
Whether you’re looking for more yerba mate brands to try, the best prices/deals, or just a store able to ship to your country so you can finally get a taste of this herb, the stores below have you covered.
So without further ado, let’s begin!
PampaDirect (The Best Place To Buy Yerba Mate)
What better way to start this list than with my favorite yerba mate store in the world. Although this may seem like I’m biased towards them (which frankly I am), it’s for good reason…
PampaDirect is a fairly new online store but they’ve already gained my trust and loyalty as a customer.
They’re so great, I even wrote a full review of their store.
Why?
Because not only does PampaDirect have one of the largest selections of yerba mate brands I’ve seen but they also offer them for a low price. As I’m writing this, they’re offering 500g/1lb bags of popular brands such as Nobleza Gaucha, La Tranquera, and Cruz De Malta for just under $6. You can even find 1000g/1kg bags for only $8.
But that’s not all.
I always here people ask,
Where can I buy yerba mate? I live in (insert location).
Well, here’s your answer. PampaDirect can ship to almost anywhere in the world. And if you meet their minimum order price, they’ll even ship for free. Shipping times vary by country but for me, all my orders arrived within 7 days (United States).
So if you’re searching for new brands to try or old brands to revisit without breaking the bank, this is the best place to get them.

Amazon
Amazon needs no introduction.
Whatever you’re looking for, they almost always have it. And when it comes to yerba mate, that’s no different.
Although they’re not a yerba mate store, they offer quite a variety of brands. Especially very popular ones like Cruz De Malta, Taragui, Rosamonte, Canarias, and Guayaki. They also offer lesser known brands if you search hard enough, but they can sometimes cost a pretty penny.
Plus, if you’re a Prime Member like I am, shipping only takes 1-2 days.
Their prices aren’t the best, but Amazon does come in handy when you want something to be delivered almost instantly.

GoYerbaMate
Early in my yerba mate journey, I found this store and couldn’t believe I didn’t find it earlier.
They offer a wide selection of yerba mate brands, but nowhere near as much as PampaDirect. Though, GoYerbaMate does provide a few brands that PampaDirect doesn’t which is why I like to shop at both at times.
GoYerbaMate’s prices are also considerably low, but some can be expensive too.
Their prices change quite often as well so you have to be there at the right time to snatch them for cheap.
Despite being so unpredictable, GoYerbaMate offers a Reward Points system. For every dollar you spend, you earn a point which is equivalent to $0.05. So if you buy a bag of let’s say La Rubia, which is $10 at the moment, you’ll earn 10 points or $0.50 off your next order.
Pretty sweet huh?
The only problem I have with this store though is their shipping rates. GoYerbaMate only ships within the United States and charges a flat-rate fee of $7.99. Only if you spend over $75 will you get your order shipped for free.
But if you can catch their discounted prices and make use of their Reward Points system, I think it makes up for it.

MyMateWorld
This was the first store I’ve ever shopped at when I got into yerba mate.
They have a wide selection of yerba mate brands as well ranging from well-known brands to many of which I’ve never heard of such as Wolhein, Hua De La Selva, Verdeada, and Paula Witkowski.
Unfortunately, their prices aren’t the best but they are reasonable. The same goes for their shipping rates.
MyMateWorld also ships all over the world. So here’s another option for you guys who can’t find yerba mate near you.
