"LIANA" 1000-Hole Stainless Steel Bomba (Mil Furos)
$60.00 USD
Description
One of the most heavily sought after straws in the yerba mate world, this 1000-hole bomba comes with a literal twist. When people say this is the only bombilla you'll ever need, they are not kidding.
Standing at just above 8 inches, this bomba comes with a larger filter head and with a thousand holes. The filter is able to be unscrewed for easy cleaning and has the best filtration you'll come across. Whether it's coarse cut Argentine yerba or powdery Brazilian chimarrao, or everything in between, you can now say goodbye to clogging with 99% certainty. It's also constructed with a thicker tubing and bent mouthpiece for smooth sipping and better heat dissipation so it feels cooler on the lips.
Dimensions: 8.26in. long
Care / Maintenance
Mate Gourds
Before your first use, it's best to cure your mate gourd (if made of calabash or wood) to remove debris and reduce bitter tannins.
- Fill with hot water (170°F / 77 °C) and steep for 20 minutes.
- Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Dry gourd on its side in a well-ventilated spot (a fan works best).
Bombillas
New bombillas should be cleaned to remove any potential manufacturing residue.
- Boil in water with 1 tbsp baking soda for 10–15 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
Yerba Mate
Keep yerba mate in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. For green yerba, store in the fridge/freezer to preserve freshness and prevent degradation. An airtight container works best.
