A masterpiece to add some flair to your mate! Made of 100% alpaca steel, this bombillon is handcrafted in Argentina and decorated with bronze ornaments, engravings, and a bronze mouthpiece to add a touch of elegance with every sip!
Note: It’s recommended to clean your bombilla before use, as tiny sediments may remain from the manufacturing process. Alpaca steel is a metal alloy commonly used in South America, and will tarnish and develop a patina with use, giving it a rustic look. To maintain your bombilla and keep it shiny, it must be restored with metal polish (tutorial). This is not to be mistaken with rust.

Care / Maintenance
Mate Gourds
Before your first use, it's best to cure your mate gourd to remove debris and reduce bitter tannins.
- Fill with hot water (170°F / 77 °C) and steep for 20 minutes.
- Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Rest gourd on its side in a well-ventilated spot (a fan works best).
Bombillas
New bombillas should be cleaned to remove potential manufacturing residue.
- Boil in water with 1 tbsp baking soda for 10–15 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly and let it dry.
Yerba Mate
Keep yerba mate in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. For green yerba, store in the fridge/freezer to preserve freshness and prevent degradation
