Note: The crimping around the edges on the back of the filter may have tiny gaps. It's not an opening, but may trap some finer particles that need to be picked out.
Adorned with a bronze beak and spiral design, this stainless steel spoon bombilla is perfect for making each sip feel a little richer. With a small but powerful filter, it's even able to strain powdery Uruguayan yerbas. Standing at 7.1 inches, it's also a great size for those gourds that end up being a bit more shallow.
Dimensions: 7 in. long

FAQs
What's The Best Type Of Bombilla?
At Yerba Mate Lab, we only stock spoon bombillas after years of testing different kinds. Why? They offer the best filtration for all types of yerbas, and blow other types (coil, spring, slits) out of the water.
For the best filtration, look for bigger filter heads and ones with more holes, such as our 1000-hole bombas.
How To Clean Bombillas
Bombillas should be cleaned after every use with a thorough rinse under warm water. If made of stainless steel, soap can be used but is not mandatory and should be avoided with other materials.
Every 1-2 months, a deep clean should be done by boiling the bombillas in a pot with a tablespoon of baking soda for about 10 minutes.
Why Is My Bombilla Clogged?
A clogged bombilla can happen for several reasons with the main one being the preparation.
Some important things to note that affect clogging most are:
- allowing the yerba to soak for 3-5 minutes on the initial pour
- positioning the filter correctly at the bottom, under the mountain
If still experiencing clogging, we suggest pulling the bombilla up slightly (out of the water) and seeing if it clears.

I like the look and it works great. I tend to like bombilla with a little thicker tip that have smoother edges at the opening, but thats pretty nit picky. The spoon itself also looks a little half-hazardly put together, but the price is amazing. I'd definitely buy it again
