One of the finest imperial mates you'll ever come across. Handcrafted in Argentina, take your time and admire all the details built into this gourd because there's a lot to take in. From the textured croc leather wrapped around the calabash.. to the chiseled designs on the metal rim.. and finally, to the metal base that holds it all together and stands this masterpiece up on its own balled feet.
It’s recommended you cure your gourd before use. (The design on the top rim, and the size and shape of each gourd varies from the pictures shown, as no two gourds are the same – some are larger, some are smaller.)

Care / Maintenance
Mate Gourds
Before your first use, it's best to cure your mate gourd to remove debris and reduce bitter tannins.
- Fill with hot water (170°F / 77 °C) and steep for 20 minutes.
- Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Rest gourd on its side in a well-ventilated spot (a fan works best).
Bombillas
New bombillas should be cleaned to remove potential manufacturing residue.
- Boil in water with 1 tbsp baking soda for 10–15 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly and let it dry.
Yerba Mate
Keep yerba mate in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. For green yerba, store in the fridge/freezer to preserve freshness and prevent degradation
